Welcome to a day in the life of a fashion student on the weekend! As a fashion student, weekends can be just as busy as weekdays, but they also provide a great opportunity to catch up on work, complete assignments/projects, explore new inspirations, and maybe even take a break.
I like to get some sleep on weekends, so I usually get up around 9am. I start my day with a cup of oat milk as I am not a coffee person and check my schedule for the day. If I have any school project deadlines coming up, I make sure to plan my day accordingly.
One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is to explore new sources of inspiration. This can include visiting museums, art galleries, or simply walking around my city. Being away from your daily routine helps you find new ideas and creative solutions to any design problem you might face.
After a busy morning, I like to take a break and enjoy lunch. Then I sit down and watch a fashion documentary or movie. I am currently watching a Netflix reality show called "Next in fashion competition". This is a great show for fashion students to relax and be inspired at the same time.
In the afternoon, I'll usually go to my studio to work on assignments that are due soon or my own projects to be shown on my portfolio. This can include fashion illustration and writing blogs.
At night, I like to have some social interaction after a long day of working alone. I spend hours for watching YouTube short videos and Instagram reels just to get inspiration for my outfits.
Before I go to bed, I usually spend some time making a plan for the next day, which helps me stay organized and make sure I'm I also take some time to listen to music since it has been associated with fashion and style.
Overall, being a fashion student is a busy but fulfilling experience. It's a time to explore new ideas, get inspired, and work hard to achieve your goals.
